  • Deminor is recruiting a Legal Advisor  for its new litigation funding practice within Deminor Recovery Services

As a Legal Advisor and under the supervision of a partner, you will take the lead in identifying new assignments and potential targets for Deminor’s new litigation funding practice in several European countries (mainly focused on the BeNeLux, Italy, Spain, France and Germany). The function will comprise : contacting selected companies, law firms and insolvency practitioners in the above mentioned countries; preparing and holding presentations to prospective clients and business contributors; preliminary analysis of proposed litigation funding projects; liaising with local counsel and asking their advice on proposed litigation funding projects; preparing proposals and defending those proposals to the investment committee; managing pending litigation funding projects; participation in and negotiation of settlement agreements.

Required qualifications and experience

You are a Master in Law, having gained minimum 5 years of work experience (preferably in general commercial law or corporate law with some exposure to litigation) in a law firm in an international, Anglo-Saxon environment. You possess an excellent command of written and spoken English in combination with Dutch or French and ideally one other European language. You are a dynamic lawyer with strong commercial/presentation skills, a fast thinker and learner with an entrepreneurial attitude. You are a flexible team player, who likes to be part of an international team of highly motivated professionals.
